- In January 2009, the Telegraph was the highest selling British 'quality' paper, with a certified average daily circulation of 842,912. This compared with a circulation of 617,483 for The Times, 358,844 for The Guardian, and 215,504 for The Independent. (Source: Wikipedia entry.)
Times of London
- Times blogs
- owned by Rupert Murdoch.
The Daily Mail
- Celebrity obsessed, but, in their favor, the newspaper campaigns against "yobs," hooligans, thugs and public drunkenness.
-"The Daily Mail is a British daily tabloid newspaper. First published in 1896 by Lord Northcliffe, it is the United Kingdom's second biggest-selling daily newspaper after The Sun." (Which explains the decline in literacy in the UK.)

The Independent
- Home to Robert Fisk, a reporter so unreliable with his facts that bloggers adopted the term to "fisk" or "fisking" as a blog entry that refuted his - and now other MSM writers bogus claims - point by point. Wikipedia defines.
Guardian
Left of the Independent (if such a thing is possible,) they have a history of employing pro-Islamic reporters who distort their worldview.
BBC News
- Taking a cue from American newspapers and media, the BBC has trashed a fine history of great reporting in favor of government advocacy and political bias.
SCOTLAND
The Scotsman
Herald Scotland
- More conservative of the two and more interesting reading. Innovative. Something that the Scotsman used to be.
